Ankit joined BioinSyst in August 2021 after completing his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics at IIT Roorkee and thesis project at EPFL, Switzerland. He is interested in combining artificial intelligence and computer vision with organ chips to develop patient-specific models for predicting cardiovascular disorder risk. His long-term goal is to work at the intersection of academia, industry, and medicine, facilitating development and translation of technologies to support global health. Ankit likes to run, bike, explore trails, and believes most of our problems can be solved by a good nap.

Sreelakshmy joined BioinSyst in Fall 2023 with prior research experience in design and development of point-of-care diagnostic devices. She holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and has previously worked as a Research Associate in a diagnostics startup company. She is passionate about synergizing the fields of engineering and biology to study cardiovascular diseases and their underlying pathogenesis. Her long-term objective is to develop organ-on-chip platforms that can enable in-depth pathophysiological investigations and preclinical therapeutic assessments. She is a trained dancer, enjoys playing board games, and is always on the lookout for new culinary experiences.

Evren joined BioinSyst in Fall 2024 as a PhD student, bringing a background in cancer biology from Yeditepe University and a master’s in biosensor integrated tissue chips from Koç University. His research interests include developing vascular organs-on-chips devices to explore platelet immunopathology and combinatorial cancer therapies. Previously, he worked on nanoplasmonic biosensor integrated devices for disease biomarkers and engineered platforms to mimic the bone microenvironment. His long-term goal is to lead interdisciplinary teams in designing cutting-edge tissue chips for personalized medicine and advancing translational cancer therapies.
